MISI AKADEMIK | FAKULTI SENI LUKIS & SENI REKA Jabatan Fotomedia Kreatif, Fakulti Seni Lukis dan Seni Reka (FSSR), UiTM turut bersama dalam program Kembara Skuad UPU Bersasar: Turun Padang ke Komuniti 2026 yang berlangsung di SMK Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam, Selangor. Sebagai sebahagian daripada aktiviti Misi Akademik FSSR, Jabatan Fotomedia Kreatif membuka ruang kepada para pelajar untuk mengenali bidang fotografi dengan lebih dekat melalui pengalaman secara hands-on. Antara aktiviti yang dijalankan ialah demonstrasi penggunaan kamera, teknik pencahayaan studio serta sesi praktikal yang memberi peluang kepada pelajar mencuba sendiri peralatan fotografi dengan bimbingan tenaga pengajar Jabatan Fotomedia Kreatif. Melalui pendekatan ini, pelajar bukan sahaja diperkenalkan kepada aspek teknikal fotografi, malah dapat melihat sendiri bagaimana kreativiti, teknologi dan kemahiran visual digabungkan dalam bidang Fotomedia Kreatif. Semoga perkongsian ini dapat membuka perspektif dan mencetuskan minat generasi muda untuk meneroka fotografi serta bidang kreatif sebagai pilihan pengajian dan kerjaya pada masa hadapan.

CFT551 Applied Art Photography Exhibition Ideas transformed into experiences. Around 60 Semester 4 Creative Photomedia students showcased their final Applied Art Photography projects through thought-provoking visual narratives, experimental image-making, motion, and immersive installations. Each work explored a unique social, cultural, or personal issue, demonstrating how photography can extend beyond a single image into a complete visual experience. The exhibition featured diverse creative approaches, combining still images, moving visuals, projection, installation art, and mixed media to engage audiences in meaningful dialogue. It reflects the students' ability to translate research, concepts, and artistic direction into compelling visual communication. Congratulations to all students for your dedication, creativity, and outstanding effort. A sincere thank you to Ashraf & AZ Studios and the entire team for warmly welcoming our CFT452 Creative Studio Lighting students for an enriching industry visit and knowledge-sharing session. The session provided valuable exposure to the professional photography industry through the sharing of real-world experiences, career journeys, industry expectations, and future directions within the creative field. Students also had the opportunity to observe technical demonstrations in commercial product photography, gaining deeper insights into lighting setups, studio workflow, equipment handling, and professional production practices. In addition, the emphasis on studio safety procedures and the responsible use of professional equipment offered students a better understanding of industry standards and workplace readiness. We sincerely appreciate the time, knowledge, motivation, and hospitality extended to our students. The training also emphasized the importance of mise-en-scène in visual storytelling, where students explored how composition, lighting, props, camera angles, and sound work together to create cinematic meaning and atmosphere. Flash photography techniques were explored through practical lighting exercises in CFT402 Fundamental of Lighting, focusing on both on-camera and off-camera flash control. The session introduced how flash can be manipulated to shape mood, exposure, and subject emphasis across different shooting environments. Students experimented with balancing outdoor ambient light and indoor flash lighting to achieve accurate exposure while maintaining the natural atmosphere and lighting mood of the scene. Through hands-on practice, they developed an understanding of lighting direction, flash power, synchronization, and camera settings in producing visually controlled and professional photographic outcomes.
